The Narrowboat "Emerald"
Please can you help?
Dave and Julie Woodhead lost all their possessions when vandals destroyed their home, the narrowboat 'Emerald' on Friday 22nd September 2006. This dreadful incident was widely reported, both on the BBC and ITV News.
The image below is the remains of their much loved floating home. Now, sadly, a burnt out hulk.
Their entire life's possessions, were lost. Everything.
The Emerald Appeal Fund, are trying to raise enough to initially repair the hull and superstructure of the boat and then to fit out the interior, so that Dave and Julie, at least, have a home again. We have already received pledges of help and some salvage work has been carried out, however, there is a massive amount of work to be done. If you are able to offer any help either financial or practical we would be most appreciative.
